Not sure about the factory cars. but others were taking advantage of the freedoms regarding brakes.
I have this set ( borrowed off old mate) that are ex 1974 ATCC car

1974 ATCC ones would be L34 ones ???

If from a L34 then they would be 10" rear brake drum Cooling Fins

...last LJ to win points in ATCC...Lakeside 1974.

...may have even been 1977......long after you'd expect LJ to be pensioned off.

not sure mate...but if so hope they are lighter ..the ones I posted are just on 1kg heavier than stock.

You would think with them big rat holes on the front of the Cooling Fin cover it would of lost heaps of pounds like a fat lady gone to Jenny Craig.

The Bob Jane L34 had cooling fins on it and they had round holes I think in the front of the cover, I had a photo of it but I accidently broke the memory stick and lost heaps of car and family photos etc etc worse luck.

Yeah, thought the same regarding the weight...but nope.

I believe these ones were machined from a billet, maybe the factory cast ones were actually lighter.?

Yeah mate I gave that pic and a few others to Chris and Steve the owner :) Steve bought a group C L34 so he's selling his Bridges XU1 (actually an updated GTR) and his group C Gemini.

I'm currently getting a set of finned alloy brake drums of my old race car redrilled to Torana stud pattern to fit to the rear of the XU1.
They were standard on the other car and I have a couple of spare sets. Now that will get the tongues wagging in the club and the EO's showing a bit of interest!

Alloy Brake drums. Perfectly legal. :spoton:  :spoton:  :spoton:  :spoton:

You'll do your dough. Better off putting it towards finding some for your Torana!!!!!
