Hi Folks,

took my LC 2 door down to the drags last night. had a lot of fun and was quiet happy with the results. only did 3 runs with the quickest a 13.24 @ 169km/h with a reaction time of 0.095

not too bad for only 258rwhp. I have a new inlet manifold on the way as my one at the moment is poo. will be hoping for around the 330rwhp once that is on.

Only drama is traction. i only have 225 50 r15 low profile street tires on and i dropped tire pressure to 16psi and it helped a tad with only launching at 2000rpm. i think the 60' time was about 2.3
Any ideas what the max tire you can squeeze into a LC/LJ rear guard? 255 would be ideal. any info would be great.

thanks

For future info,

245/50/14 tyres will squeeze in the LC/LJ rear after a mini tub at front half of rear tubs under back seat widened by 2 inches,

and the base of shock absorbers moved closer to frame on shaft with the top dust housing removed.

On hard cornering the wide tyres do make a little scrub, which has a back space of 6 inch for the 14x8 inch rims.

You aren’t trying hard enough thread digger!

275/50/15 on the back of mine without touching the rails. Taller 255/60/15 on the other.
