Good starter project
Alittle bit of wierd placement of stuff in that engine bay though

I wouldn't mind an old wagon myself one day

Yeah that washer bottle and charcoal canister look a bit up the duff.

Still, coolest car.

Cheers.

CHEERS FOR THE KIND WORDS so far guys !

Because some numbnuts did the dual battery thingo, the cannister got put where it is. :banghead:

When I opened the bonnet I thought "WTF" ? Is this where GMH put it at the factory...

Took 10 mins to realise what was wrong, also the washer bottle placement too.

It's only been 5 days, so progress has been ummm... 6 months for normal people but we

have a (rough) 3 week time frame to get it all good as Andrew may be scoring a 93k / year job in Mt.Isa.

Hence the sorta dodge fixem 'em on the panels ;)

We missed out by just a few days on this ! :furious:

Now remember I'm an ex HR X2 Premier Sedan owner from 1982 to 1996

HR Holden Station Wagon 1967 Transmission Manual 03/10/2011
I have a 67 HR Holden wagon with 3 speed manual on the floor, I have replaced the brake pads and all the cylinders and brake booster and put in a new water pump and thermostat and I also have change the spark plugs and oil , fuel filter and oil change.
It has a 186 motor with a 202 head and there isn't all that much rust in it and would make a great car to restore.
Selling for $2500 Ono
And if you need more photos I can email them to you.

We also have prior 70's Celica commitments to attend to BUT the Wagon is on a 3 week timeline.

It WILL be painted in a week (just 2 coats) to make it pretty, then Son's off to Isa for 6/12mths.

He makesa mucho dinero, comes back & pays some other guy to cut/shut/metal/paint it !

Here's him fanging around the Q.R. IWMAC dirt circuit :)

I "may" be biased but the Sillycar (less 2 cylinders) is soooooooooooooooo much sexier than an LC / LJ

Mind you, I do want an LJ XU-1 just to fill my lustful void... :driving:

Did a wrecker run this arvo & the purists out there are going to hate what I'm about to say....

The HJ came with a NEW Kenwood head unit with a green/blue display

My 1984 Digital Tacho also has the same display

The 1984 Toyota Lux digi clock has the same green/blue display

What we are going to do is fit the Head Unit to the "usual" place
on the dash fascia to the right of the ciggie lighter

Where the Kingswood insert is on the dash is where my '84 digo tacho will go

Where the "blank off" plate to the left of the Kinga plate is where the Lux digi clock will reside

Tastefully done & all tied in aesthetically (I HOPE !) :)

Here's the pics

If it all turns out CRAP then I'm guessing we'll be chasing another dash fascia !

LOL
It's only a stab at trying to make it Andrews personalized car after all ;) :driving:

Easy as !

Well apart from the mess that is - LOL

Andrew says no....

Bloody 21 yo's have no style - lols

Any takers out there to do this ?

Adjusted the play in the Kingas steering box late this arvo = a bit less "wandering"

Popped into my super dooper RWC guy as well for a quick looky lou.

He's impressed so far by the ol' piece of crap ;)

Weekend fun n frivolities as follows :

Spent most of the day with a guy who drove up 5hrs from Grafton to my 1 stop Sillycar shop

& dropped 900 in my hand for pretty much everything he wanted + more for his TA-23 (1600 if on egay)

Egayed our brains out & scored a near new set of Genie extractors, NEW 2 n 1/2" system for the HJ

and a really good set of twin Strombergs n Cain/Lynx manifold for dual use on my pet motor or the HJ

Old mate who I got the twins off had a pretty schmick HR Special & with my Premy owner skills of old

I re-installed his wiper motor plus bent as feck attachment clip he MANGLED & put his bonnet back on

and aligned it SPOT ON - All that took 2ish hrs for a guy I'd never met before.

Got some artsy pics of his HR & will post Monday as I'm at the fiancee's house atm...
