We were looking at reproducing the rear spoiler for LX UC hatchbacks (3pcs) as per original.

Is there anybody in the Melbourne area (preferably in the Northern suburbs) that may be able to assist with a suitable vehicle for checking and testing?

We are looking for a reasonable genuine spoiler set to use for tooling reference unfortunately... I wish I had better news. Been through more than a dozen reproductions. Long story. PM if you can help or email at [email protected]

I have seen some horrible ones so I can understand why RS have been hesitant, but surely someone out there has the molds & the skill to do it right?

The trick bit I imagine is the mounting brackets etc.

i currently know of 2 spoilers that are not fitted to a hatch

that are absolutley genuine gmh items

and yes baron you are in part correct the mounting brackets are the crucial key

good luck to rsp reproducing these as i know the current owners

will under no circumstance part with them
