Actually another little tip bit I remember from the time was Holden disguised the Opel with Torana panel work

Have you got any pictures there, cruisa ?

no I just remmeber when the VB Comodore was released there was a big write up in wheels magazine at the time and told of how the opel was disguised to look like a Torana for testing in the outback and the car fell apart something a real Torana wouldn't do, there were no photos that I am aware of and I am sure Holden would not not there to be

OK well let's see who has a whinge about this batch of pics : ) hahaha!

I tapered the front of the rail cover so it followed the shape of the rail. I'm not sure what radiator or fans are being used so I didn't want to take up any more space than I had to.
I also welded up the bigger holes in the inner guard and welded a piece over the big indent in the inner guard as well.

I then started welding up all the holes and bots and pieces on the passengers side as well as finishing off the rail.

I cut the battery tray out as the metal underneath isn't flat anyway, so I'll weld in a flat piece.

I dont like this little lump on the drivers side, so it's going.

I then started on getting rid of the big indent behind the passengers strut tower.

No more indent : )

Well that's pretty much got the inner guards done other than seam welding around the seam on the strut towers, but I'll do that after the bay gets blasted.

I still want to weld up a few holes in the firewall too but I need to check behind the dash first to make sure I don't melt anything.

I put the front bits and pieces back on, but I've only clamped the stone tray on so all the areas inside are easier to sandblast with it not in place.

I now need to track down some VH front bumper brackets so I can look at mounting the new front bumper/spoiler. Next job though is going to be removing the tar from inside the cab. Yay : )

Hey Tim, what do you use to sand / remove the paint from the engine bay, I'm using a 2 speed sander with 40grt disc on the body panels, also what etch primer are you using ?

Did it get finished though?

So do I have to sign up for Photobucket or do something?

Still struggling with a few things to finish it.

Bomber. I wasn't trying put a pic onto the page.
I was trying to work out why all the pics on this thread won't load/show.
Can you see them?

That would be because of photobucket changing its policies about third party hosting.

Happend a while ago we lost a LOT of picks.
