I just got the Hamburger with the lot front end mounting kit from Kingo Country, all the bushes supplied are either GMH or Mackay rubber which Im happy with however the outrigger bushes are Whiteline W91109

http://www.whiteline...&sans_vehicle=1

I would imagine they are polyurethane????

Can RUBBER outrigger bushes be purchased just on there own??? If so what brand?

i have just put the exact kit into my hatch well xmas time the outrigger bushes aren't as hard as polyurethane so i used them anyway. the difference it has made is like night and day as my whole front end was polyurethane and had a terrible feel.

you may have done them already but if not the double knuckle and lower bearing conversion on the steering column are worth while upgrades while its apart.

I would prefer poly K frame bushes, having the K frame mounted more solidly to the car is a good thing for handling.

Brad,
You are talking about the bushes that insert into the K-Frame legs and mount inside the chassis rails adjacent the tunnel right?
If so, like you I got the front suspension kit from Kingswood Country but mine were rubber and not urethane.
The folks at KC have been great with me and I am sure they could swap/supply you with the rubber ones given they gave me the same?
Maybe give them a bell and see what they can do for you.
I thought you had the front end in the car ages back - am I mistaken or are you going back over some work?
Cheers, TB

This is KC response to the issue:

I don’t have access to the rubber bushes separately and if I rob the out of a LC/LJ kit I cant replace them, and mackay only list them in (Super Pro), so I’m sort of stuck with the black poly bushes..

Nah the front end has come out for re-build. It will go back in when the engine bay is painted along with the motor/box.

Not sure if this helps, but rares did sell a crossmember kit with rubber outrigger bushes.

At least the ones I purchased look to be rubber, yet to fit them which is another story.

Yes they do. But is about $121 for a complete kit which I don't need. Only the outrigger bushes are needed... But its proving hard to get them on there own...

Gee Brad we seem to be doing the same thing to our cars although I have never heard of outrigger bushes. I have dropped my car off today to have all the control arm bushes replaced on the front and rear, together with a few other bit and pieces. I ordered the lower bushes from rare spares but got an email a few days later saying that they have been recalled due to a problem with the rubber. I had to hunt around for some more which I found on eBay but haven't received yet, hoping they will be ok for a car that doesn't see many km's and will be garaged. Let me know how you go with the mackay rubber bushes, I seem to hear only good things about mackay bushes.

The mackay ones are urethane. So I won't be using them. Spoke with rsp today and Cavan didn't mention any issues with the kits?

Maybe give Pedders a ring? You never know.

It is also my opinion that the A1202 bushes they have look excellent. They appear to have a metal centre with a thicker wall but I have not measured it to confirm.

Pedders would stock rubber ones though would they?

Thanks for that Dave! Appreciate your efforts!

Hi Brad

Rare Spares don't sell the rubber brace bushes separately however you can buy an LC/LJ 6cyl front end mtg kit FEK8 which has the two brace bushes and eight cross member to chassis rail bushes for around $50.00

Cheers
Dave.
