No chrome mouldings around the window frame either? And black door handles?

LX SLR5000's didn't have chrome around the windows and the door handles are black. Painted bumpers were an option. Not sure how many there were but I did some research into it when i was looking at one 20 years ago and the painted bumpers was an option that came with a second option, I can't remember off the top of my head what that other option was but I think in was the kidney dish alloy wheels. I know Gundigai Motors sold 2 of them, red and yellow to two brothers and they both had those options. The red one I almost bought in 1990. I believe the second one was still owned by the other brother.

Ah ok, I thought the LX SLR had the stainless moulding around the outter part of the window frame unlike the LH SLR that had it inside the window frame?

 Um no..no it doesn't, it looks bloody terrible..painting chromed bumpers on an LH/X should be considered a crime against humanity.

The top car was the one that had the optional colour coded bumpers and the Holden alloy wheels, I think it looked good and the SS hatches lookd good with colour coded bumpers

Its too much color mate! that's the problem..the bar blends in with the paintwork looks terrible..bottom car looks much cleaner with its chromed bars imo. Whatever floats your boat tho!

The SS Hatch's looked awesome with Painted Bumpers and so does the LX SLR5000, the LH SLR5000 look great with Chrome Bumpers, the A9X's should of had Painted Bumpers like the SS Hatch's i reckon, but each to there own, if i owned a A9X i would change the Bumpers to painted ones :driving:
