And I think collecting paint and trim codes is probably worthwhile.

Ok, my old one from 2007 is in Melbourne. I don't believe current owner is a forum member. L31 M40, 7/76, Paint 17778.

If one turns up on here L31 M40, 11/75, paint 17777. Please let me know as I want it back. I sold to a fellow in Altona area in 1997. I had painted it Ultra Blue, had full A9X body kit, with black outs on Gold centred V5 Simmons.

Any leads I will give you a slab of Alcohol. ( that last word does not look right.)

Maybe make a Template up and people should state the obvious such that's it's a Factory 5ltr SS in M40 or M21 and if it is matching number's car still, and also note the car's current color, just incase if it is currently non original colored paint,...

Mark down the Factory color and paintcode by the I.D plate so we can mark down how many are still around in that color, as im sure alot would have been painted an assortment of non original different color's and changed around some what along the line somewhere over the years...Maybe even put down if it has flares or is un-flared just to see how many are Factory unmolested original's and how many have been modded with flares etc...

A Template something along the lines of this, or even this could probly be copied and pasted..

I will start..

Name : Romper

Model : LXSS - L31-M21-GU7

Year : 3/76

Paintcode : 568-17778 ( Aquarius )

Original paint : YES ( unrestored )

Trim : 1914-18V

Full Matching Numbers : YES

Flared : NO

Also of note, Dont post what you have owned in the past or how many you've owned previously, or sold 10 year's ago etc etc, ONLY mark down if you CURRENTLY own one of them now, it's to weed out CURRENT owner's to see how many are still around...

135? this can't include the 100 A9X's that are L31 m21 G70/GU4 SS too.

So they made close to 1 hundred A9X SS L31 m21 G70/GU4 in just the small A9X production window verse the remainer of the whole production window of LX (late 75 through to late 77). Gee I would have thought that there are seriously far more than 135.

Well there certainly has been more than that at one time in the last 30 odd years......everyone had one for a while there..:P
