L32 SS Hatchback Register

I'll start with mine;
Model. LX8VD77
Body. 5xxxxxM
Trim. 1890 - 18V
Paint. 568 - 15953
Eng. L32 Trans. M20 Rraxl. GU4
Build Date. 6/76
I would think the SS L32 & L20 would out number the L31 hatch by about 5 to 1.
Lets see..........

What do others reckon?

Norm Darwin estimates;
- 135 5.0L Hatches which I believe were all 8VD77 (SS),
- 664 4.2L hatches - goodness knows the breakdown of 8VC77 and 8VD77 (SL and SS) but I believe these were the only two hatch variants with the 4.2L V8, and
- 3,805 3.3L hatches - again who'd know what the breakdown was between SL and SS?
Maybe 'sloper35' might kindly shed some further light on the model specific production numbers suspected or otherwise?
And 'outer' is probably dead right; stealing from that often used line about GTHO Phase III; "There were 135 5.0L SS produced for which thankfully 4,213 survive to this day!"
Cheers, TB

My car is not original but it's definatly a survivor. I reckon an unmolested original L32 SS hatches would be rare indeed.

Maybe a poll is the best way to count these things?
In any case, I've added a tally to the bottom and this is my one;
Model. LX8VD77
Body. 5xxxxxM
Trim. 1915-18V
Paint. 568 - 17779
Eng. L32 Trans. M20 Rraxl. GU4
Build Date. 10/76
So far that is:
3 x 4.2L SS
0 x 4.2L SL

Starting at the top we have;
Ando: L32 - M20 - Manarin Red - 6/76
76lxhatch: L32 - M20 - Chamois - 8/76
Tyre Biter: L32 - M20 - Mint julep - 10/76
Mad350: L32 - M20 - Mandarin Red - ??/7?
Clearshield: L32 - M40 - Antelope - ??/7?
its Paul: L32 - M40 - Cotillion White - 4/76
Jonesy: L32 - M?? - Antelope - ??/77
Orange SS: L32 - M40 - Papaya - 3/76
sstorana: L32 - M40 - Antelope - 9/77
LS1hatch: L32 - M20 / Chamois (SL)
Does that make mine rare being the only Cotillion on the list, not as common as those Mandarin's & Antelope's :-)
