Just run your eye over the model number on your plate in the engine bay, It should read LX8VD69 not LXV869.

Sorry ( s ) I don't know what that means, When I bought my SLR it had a green checked Tartan interior. I don't wether  the car was factory fitted with a Herringbone or Hounds tooth. If any one can elaborate please do. Many thanks.

Sorry I don't know what that means

He's saying only the 19X part of the trim code signifies black vinyl interior with cloth inserts and the inserts are either

Herringbone

http://www.reliabler...h for cars.html

or

Houndstooth

http://www.reliabler...h for cars.html

I don't know whether the car was factory fitted with a Herringbone or Houndstooth.

His comment suggests it could've been either, it seems they didn't have a code for each insert. Not sure if the selection was random, due to what was available at the time or applied to certain combinations.

You could ask that question in the interior sub-forum,

http://www.gmh-toran...um/14-interior/

include as much detail, the pic of your tags may help too.
