Was getting some parts together to take to the blasters and i came across
2 handbrake levers, they are of different sizes, i know the bigger one came out
of chateau but would like to know what the other (smaller one) came out of...
would it be a LJ /LC thing?? or a manual to auto thing?? or none at all and
be used in a 4 cylinder??
cheers johnno

In the first pic I would say the bottom one is the one you need.

Hi John

The handbrake lever for bucket seats is the same for all LC/LJ/TA Toranas and probably the same for HB.

Two possibilities I reckon. Either someone has modified the shorter lever to suit with a different transmission shifter position or if you were to remove the grip (but I wouldn't do that ) from Chateau's lever it will be the same as the shorter one without the grip.

Personally I've never removed the grip from a handbrake lever to see how long the metal tube part of the lever is.

Cheers
Dave.

I have removed the grip from handbrake lever in my lj, Man wasn't easy & destroyed the grip...... It is longer in the tube than the top lever so as S Pack said looks like that shorter version has been modified in more ways than 1......
