Well it's coming up to 30 years for me(next month)..i remember looking for a v8 hatchback in Adelaide(250 kays from me) a couple of times with no success and then one was traded in my local town a few months later,a little rough but the price was right.
I traded in a Torana LX SL..in good nic.

anyway i though i'd throw this up maybe i'll have to give the old girl a birthday..how long have you had your Torrie?

Wouldn't be too many that could beat Litre8's effort.

I've had the Lh for 7 years, the Lc for about 2 and the HB for about 4.

3 and a bit years for my current hatch but have had several other Torry's over the last 25 years. I have always sold them off over the years mainly to buy something bigger and better, like houses.

Bought my XU-1 in Jan 1979. I was an apprentice at a Datsun dealership which was also an AMPOL service station. This XU-1 would come in for fuel. I could here it rumbling on in and would run out and ask how much petrol they wanted and ask if they needed the oil checked even if it didn't. This was in the day when a service station was really that.

Fast forward 12 months or and so lo and behold he traded it in on all things a Datsun 200B SX this was the sports pack model. He traded it for something that had four doors because he was starting a family.

I said to self "self" Your'e going to get that Torrie no matter what. Being an apprentice with not much money I used Hire purchase through work and traded my little Suzuki 4WD, the one with the 3cyl 2 stroke engine and did the deal.Hell I was happier than a pig in crap. Boy was I the envy of all my mates, and the cops loved me to.

And they say the rest is history.

PS I could write a book on all the adventures or misadventures Iv'e had in my Torrie, but the way I type it would take 20 years.

Cheers John.
