Someone in build thred would have one pulled apart but a workshop manual should have factory measurements

Hi sorry to bring up an old thread, but I just wanted to see where the drawing came from. I would just like to see if there were a book I could look at that has this drawing in it. I want to double check the measurements, I saved the one above but a few numbers are a bit hard to confirm 100%.

cheers

Hi Bazza,

The chassis measurements was one thing I've been looking for so thanks for the diagram, but the other is the body measurements. By this I mean measurements between door openings, bonnet opening etc. I have asked a few panel beaters that have chassis alignment systems but none of their data bases go back to the 1970's. I have the problem of the length on both sides of the car are the same but the left door is too long!? The door is a brand new GMH one bought from a guy in Melbourne in the late 1980's who had bought out most of GMH excess stock. The front guard was trimmed to get the door shut and now as I'm planning a rebuild with a new guard it would be nice to find out where the problem is and avoid trimming 10mm off the guard. Normally you have too bigger gap between panels so I'm just lucky I guess!

Thanks, Martin.

10 mm ? That's just over 3/8" somethings not right there 5 mm yes 10 nope. I'd be looking at the skin roll on the door 1st if the guard hasn't been off. These things are a bit ordinary in fitment.
