Does anyone know why the LH was only offered as a 4 door sedan, every other model Torana had a 2 door available, so if you wanted a 2 door Holden in 1974 you had to buy a HQ Monaro, any one else ever wondered about this ? ps. even the GTRX and Hurricane were 2dr.

Could have been not enough money or Hatch neaded more time so just waited til LX. Funny how people on ebay list stuff to suit LH,LX,UC hatch.

There was actually only going to be the LH Torana which included not only a hatch but a wagon as well. ( which looked almost as bad as an AU Falcon btw) but like old matey said they weren't quiet ready to release the 2 door when the LH released and by the time they were ready there were so many little changes to be made they decided on doing a new model , the LX. As for the UC I can't comment ... Lol

Haven't I read on here about a couple of LH tagged hatches?

And, while we're on the subject, a radio station in Melb had a quiz this morning and the question was when was the last Torana built. The answer was 1979. I'm pretty sure there has been a thread about 1980 tagged UC's?

Last Torana built would have been 78 ... dunno what they were thinking after that

As for the 2 dr question...I guess they just hadn't settled on the shape and engineering in time for the LH and decided to release the hatch with the LX
It came out early in the LX range... right from the start in late 75 I think
I've seen a LH hatch tag once ... heard of about 5 kicking around

There are a few LH hatches on this site.

I've seen a few 1980 UCs.
