GTR/XU1 vinyl tops, LHD cars

Hope these questions aren't too trivial, but here goes . . .
In the early '70s, a friend of mine had a 1970 Verdoro Green LC GTR with a biege (not sure of the official colour designation) vinyl roof, and another guy we knew had a 1970 LC XU1, also Verdoro Green with a beige vinyl roof. I can't recall ever seeing any other GTRs/XU1s with vinyl tops, and I've always wondered how many had them. Does anyone have production records that would contain that information? It's possible these two cars had dealer-fitted (as opposed to factory-fitted) tops, and wouldn't show up on the records.
I'm also wondering how many LC/LJ GTRs/XU1s were built with left-hand drive. This has been on my mind sInce 1984, when I was surprised to see a young Filipino dude cruising down Roxas Boulevard in Manila in a left-hook, lime green LJ GTR. It had never occurred to me that GMH would go to the trouble of making such a niche model with LHD.
Any information gratefully received.

Found them!!!

He was Jose Canga in the LJ's... They weren't XU-1's but anyhow... they were what they were... you can see the CAUTION - Left Hand Drive on the rear and it looks like they were ACT registered cars!!!!
Wonder where they ended up!!!
Cheers

Unfortunatley he rolled the car back in 1987 and his passenger was killed, had the car survived today it would have been highly sought after as I have never seen another.

Back in those days, LHD cars were allowed to be registered in the ACT under special circumstances; I suspect the regulation was to do with diplomats. I have a feeling that outback WA also allowed it as a result of the US tracking station at Exmouth, but am not sure on that one.
