Facepalm as I stated before about maxxis haha. Good luck with them. I see at least a set a day with big issues. Hope they are one of the good sets and you're lucky.

just put a 3:08 diff centre in to replace the 3:55, and its much better to drive, and its abit quieter at 100, hopefully the fuel economy might go up just maybe haha

Maxxis have been serving me well, they handle water great, mech fuel pump gave up, so now have an electric one,

my $50 special 4speed is showing what i paid for it, 2nd and 3rd syncro are fairly bad, gives me some double clutching practice though,

ive been really nice to the motor, but the poor bottom end has a knock, and the dead lifter i thought was dead, has gotten worse, so will soon put another 4speed and the blue motor i have in it, ive got the blue motor running with a falcon weber, and sounds like it has a mild cam, and has good comp, so should be a good runner,

brought a hx wagon the other day as another project, 253 auto, gts dash, so it will be another long build has it has a fair bit of rust

Need to change the bearings in the second rear end, or else she will go soon.

the old $50 4speed is still going strong, quicker to change without the clutch than with, put a hot blue in it, than that blew the headgasket, so did some head work a few months ago, went great till last week, and spun a bearing, as it has a crazy bottom end knock, so pulled that out, now have a stock, worn 202 black in it, while i wait for the parts to turn up than it'll be 253 4 speed

its now a 253 m21, much nicer to drive, has abit more low down torque than the 6, first gear is a pain sometimes, can putt around town in 3rd and 4th, and use bugger all fuel, and with the twin 2 1/4 system its not loud, but has the note, still running the banjo, should last forever,

got a big 3 core alloy radiator, and N16 pulsar themo fans fit almost perfectly, and they kept it cool on the 45degree day we had 2 days ago, so cant complain there

I had a HZ van years ago. 6 cyl. 3 on tree.

Changed it to 253 auto. Did a chassis swap actually.

More power and heaps better fuel economy.

Was a work van.

The 6 the accelerator was off or on.

The 253 rarely needed full throttle.

Much nicer to drive.

Had a single 2 1/2 system which sounded nice.

old girl has been taken off daily duties, dirt road started taking its toll, poor lil 253 decided it didnt want any lobes on the cam, so its now running an old speedway 308, active intake, with an edelbrock 600, bit of a pig to drive with the unknown cam, but still a good cruiser, and returns good highway mileage,

still running the banjo diff, will swap the lsd salisbury in soon,

old cars are never finished, thats for sure
