Hi guys,
i am just after clarification on this. i have a 253 motor with the HR prefix. i have been told that this is a LH SL/R Motor?? can anyone confirm or deny this??
if not what model car is that prefix from? any help would be appreciated.

An engine with an HR prefix is a 253/4.2 V8 out of any LH or LX Torana, not just an SL/R, it could have been an S or SL.
There is nothing unique about an SL/R engine, compared to say an SL engine.

Hmmm ^^ I was under the same impression about the HR prefix that it belongs to the SLR 4.2
