Posted ImageHas anyone bought those lc/lj replacement front guards that are being made? There seems to be a number of people selling them, is just one company making them? If you have bought some are they any good? Is there much work getting them to line up right with the gaps looking ok? Do the fluted ones look any good? These are from a place at Moorebank in Sydney.

Yes i have used them and i believe they are all made in the same place. They are quite a good fit and are very close to original in my opinion. I would recommend them.

Cheers

No need to mod LJ guards, they also make the LC std and GTR guards.

There is only one manufacture but a lot of sellers don't let anyone tell you anything different . No matter where you buy them they are the same . Buy from the company that has the best price , service and after service just in case you run into problems it's your choice.

There was a jet black lj 4 door (or 2 door i cant remember ill try hunt some pics) at torana fest (if anyone knows the owner)

His guards are these ones aswell i cant remember much more about the car sorry about that.

I got mine from muscle car parts who used to be the importer for rarespares (thats the story i know of anyways, rarespares will prop tell you different)

I got the guards, rad support valance and nose cone and im very happy with them.

In that pic it is just sitting there not welded on by the way.

If you are going to get them hunt around for different prices, when i got mine it was 100 dollars cheaper than rares (few years back)

They are made in taiwan from memory, i can get more pics of them if you need it ill have to crawl under the house though.

I'm in the process of putting these on at the moment. Got mine from rare spares. They line up really well. Worse part about the whole process was removing the old ones

Thanks for the imput. Sounds like there worth getting, than stuffing aroung trying to dress up an old set.

I know what you mean GONG when you say ther cars are the problem, i`ve never been able to put doors on from another car and have them fit right, i`ve even had to cut the hinges and re weld them to get it to sit right.

Thanks Mark..
