put a bit of a pic up of this a while back but it's getting a bit of progress now, i'm after some LC/LJ torana front coil springs standard, lowered, even cut as long as you know how much was cut off them somewhere from central west NSW to sydney also some front shocks

anyway to the car picked it up a few years back very very rare austin A40 panelvan now is fitted with LJ torana front end and diff and set up for a red 6

this is what i dragged home

austin007.jpg

austin008.jpg

after the first lot of work front end and diff fitted firewall recessed  and red motor and trimatic mounts done

this was done by a mate he is still in the process of doing the same areas on the left side

craig, wot179 did a brilliant job of doing the floor and gearbox tunnel i can't find the pics from that so i'll let him post them

thanks guys it won't be getting painted as such problem is some peanut painted the other side of it a horrible blue but have a guy that says he can reproduce the paint look for the other side including the sign writing

the motor in the pic is just a dummy but have a 179HP with a reasonable solid cam and fairly good head will be running a 4 barrel holley twins etc look cool but the holley is easy lol

as for offers of springs don't mind paying freight, but the fella at silverdale blown308 might be better as i've left it a little late and may need them by next weekend so if you could have a look and let us know would be great, craig says you may be able to drop them at his house that or i don't mind picking them up when i'm down there

don't want to sound like a tight arse i'de buy new ones if it comes to it but i'm pretty sure i'll have to cut them anyway i know 3 and 3/4 coils is to much lol

Looks cool.

Are you going to leave the left side and paint the right to match or will you fix and paint the whole thing re-creating the old look?

probly just try to make the right side look like the left and leave the left alone

was gunna have a bit of a play with words and put on it where it has family butcher, have the butchering families since such and such date as you see on some signage, but then thought maybe not such a good idea since in the smallish town we live in there's been a family murdered with an axe and an actual butcher murder his x wife
