Hey guys, I've seen photos recently of Group C Toranas using what appear to be Commodore brake reservoirs? It was my understanding that Torana used regular cast iron jobs like HQ etc.? Also, they're offset, hanging off of the side? Can anyone shed any light on the situation there, there has to be a reason, otherwise wouldn't the A9X just use HQ-style as they did with brake etc?

A9X used the PBR ADR Style master cylinders

Very similar to Commodores and late UC,s Falcons etc

Race teams used International truck master cylinders with large bore sizes (1 3/8") but adapted the plastic bottle off the A9X master

The large bore was to overcome the 4 , 4 piston calipers they used

This master bolts straight to the original LH style booster and pedal they robbed off their L34's (along with the motor)

A9X booster wasn't suitable as the front canister has a diagonal master cylinder mount
