Ok at the moment it looks like the following based on average of numbers:

1. Sunday preferably
2. Meet in Torquay at 8.30am
3. Those coming from Melbourne meet up at Werribee servo and leave at 7.30
4. Meet at Torquay at 8.30 and have morning tea, display cars until say 9.30
5. Drive from Torquay to Lorne. This should take around an hour and 1/4 taking it easy.
6. We could then drive through Lorne and around to Wye River and back to Lorne. This would get us back to Lorne around 11.45.
7. Park and display at Lorne foreshore in front of Lorne Hotel and have lunch there.
8. Then go inland from Lorne to Deans Marsh at say 1.30pm. This is a good winding road.
9. Arrive at Deans Marsh 2pm. Can stop at cafe/bar for those who want or keep going and head home. From Deans Marsh back to Geelong/Melbourne Freeway is about 1 hour.

Date looks like late October or early November.

Everyone happy??

Hi Macka,

Better scrub me off that list then if its going to be late Oct or early Nov as I am working those weekends. Best I could do around those dates would be the Sat 9th Nov as I am back to work on the Sunday, otherwise have fun everyone and I hope you get good clear weather for it.

Cheers Wayno

I was actually in Lorne today for work and dropped by Freestone Road Haven at Aireys Inlet. It was closed however looking in it looks great. Yep we will definitely be stopping there.

Sorry to those who have to pull out becuase it is Sunday. I can do either and prefer Saturday however going the democratic way and therefore Sunday was vast majority.

I took a quick drive yesterday to the new Freestone Roadhouse at Aireys Inlet on Great Ocean Road. It's brilliant and we will definitely be having lunch there.

I'm pushing like hell to have my build finished before september. My wife is due to have our firt child mid September and I'm on a promise to pick them up from hospital in a finished LS2 powered LX Hatch.
All going well , both with car and birth, I'm in. If not in the Torrie, my VE wagon might have to do.
I too would meet at the servo.
Look forward to updates as time goes on

Ok let's get this date locked in.

What about the following date options:

Sunday 13th October
Saturday 2nd Nov
Sunday 3rd Nov

I think I will have to go with majority rules. Lets say have your vote in by Monday 23 Sept. I will then collate and it is set.

Hi guys,

I should have my UC Hatch on the road this weekend so count me in for any of the above dates (would probably prefer a sat but not too fussed). Bought my first Torana when I was 14 (now 30), this is my fourth but the first to get on the road so pretty keen to get out and meet you all.
