the problem i have is that i don't want too go too radical and have problems with emissions when licensing.

the engine that i have is very lumpy and has too idle quite high to keep vacuum, in turn making the emissions not very favorable for passing inspection.

also would rather a holden engine so i dont have too mess around with engineers getting it all certified.

would really prefer a turbo pattern so i can match up too the gearbox without messing about with adapters.

also want to do a complete swap out with LX extractors and mounts if possible

remove both engines and reinstall

will keep your offer in mind though if i have no luck

Yeah ok, i thought it must have been engineered already since it was in the car... Still not that much of a drama i wouldnt have thought.

You can get the Trimatic pattern block drilled rather than using an adapter plate.

Heaps better that way.

Do a deal with a HQ sump and the block drilled to Turbo pattern if nothing else pops up... ?

Keep in mind that if they are strict over there then you will probably need to ensure you are using a HX / Z, VB Commodore pollution motor or later to pass.

they are a bit fussy on the year.

1975 chev motor and they are wanting a newer type motor but will pass it if pollution can be lowered.

You should not have to do an emissions test in WA for a SBC in a LX.

Send a pm to 434lx. He had a SBC registered a couple of weeks ago, originally they wanted an emissions test but eventually they came to their senses.

I'm interested... but not sure I have all the parts to make your dream come true

I'm still getting everything together

Yet the motor is assembled and just about ready to run

currently having a chat too 434lx see what my options are.

might just get a stock cheap 308 for licensing and keep the chev, still not too sure

mounts you can get from rares new for 180 the pair
i have a hq sump lying here...or go hi energy
alt brackets are made repo as well
not many people are willing to give up a complete running torrie motor cheap atm.....or even a h series one for that matter

after talking too a few guys im going to modify the chev

going to take out the solid cam and lifters and put in a mild cam with hydraulic lifters and change the single plane manifold to a Edelbrock air gap dual plane manifold.

this should give me the vacuum and emissions that i need to get licensed.
