I’m no professional but Yep as said ^^ basically aim for equal angles at either end (within reason) & more than 0.5 degrees to make the needles roll.

You won’t get the tail shaft straight in a car running equal length axles. Unless you angle the driveline toward the pinion. I recall getting the carb float bowl level was an issue, albeit your not running carb, but seem to recall that carb was tilted 5 degrees forward from crank line.

Uni angles rob power and uneven angles between front and rear is where harmonics generally start. Most new vehicle designs have the drive line and tail shaft all inline and driven with rubber doughnuts on both ends. You don't have to worry about harmonics and uni joint rollers ware. Most drag cars have zero or very low uni working angles for performance, but unis are checked and replaced regularly.

Does anyone know if there is a place that refurbished door catch mechanisms. Got a couple of springs that need replacing and rust.  Or How hard is it to replace the Springs??
