My Torana is about to go to the panel beaters but it has a LX nose one which means there is no individual letters on the nosecone but as mine is an LH I want to put them back. Does anyone know of a template that can be used to mark the holes so they are straight and in the right place.

Hi Simon,

I may be able to assist.

I have a template that is a cut section from a (rusted) LH Torana nosecone.

It is in in storage- let me check if I still have it and I can post to you - at your cost.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark, sorry it's taken so long to get back to you but if you did find that template as I have had no luck finding anything. I thought I had the dimensions in a book but I can't find it so I would be very interested

You can use my nose cone for measurements, it'll only take 5 minutes to take it off.

Prob the easiest way to get a template would be to put a piece of white paper onto the nosecone and rub a pencil over it which would show up the hole locations?

I can mail this template if anyone needs it. It will give you the letter spacing around the centre line of the nosecone and a start for the pin positions.

PM me with an address

OK big thanks to Tim for supplying the Nosecone template!!!! Really appreciate that gesture mate!

I have scanned this to the exact dimensions, however when you print this out, you need to select A3 and ensure you select "NO MARGINS" in the printer properties section.

I've noticed if the margins are set to default it squashes the letters up slightly.
