I notice most major US Auto parts suppliers can supply ready made positive/earth battery cables fitted with spring ring battery terminals for most popular US 70s muscle cars.

Are these the same style as what was used at GMH back in the day?

Has anyone been able to source just the battery terminal and have it fitted to an existing cable?

Call Darren Atkins on, 0400668575.  Supply him with old Spring Ring terminals and he will make up cables to your requirements. Not cheap, but very good.

Im hoping that I can source some brand new terminals rather then using 30odd year old ones.

Brad, it is only the steel inner spring ring that is reused. The lead terminal outer is as per original and new. I have used these on several cars needing original style leads and they have been no trouble at all.    All lettering etc is correct for Australian vehicles.  Cheers mate.

Brad I've tried e-mailing Lectric Limited but no reply. Thought about getting some of theirs sent over and modifying them back here but this

other feller could be the go.

Hanra. and 308 Sunbird. I sent of a number of emails to lectralimited didn't get any reply's so I phoned them. They weren't interested. They said they couldn't tell me the lengths of the cables of any that make and I would need to know the model Chev I wanted some from and then I would need to order through the web site. Total waste of time.

Got1RU1 Thanks for that phone number.

Bazza, The terminal's look good. Does he sell only the terminal or with cable attached?

Cheers M

Max I got some from American Auto Wire with Spring ring only cast on top as in Brads first photo.

Not exactly the lengths I wanted but I modified to suit and will do for the time being, they look alot better

than the modern alternatives.

Try emailing Marc De Montigney - [email protected] he was very helpfull.

If you or anyone else is interested the numbers for the ones I got for a V8 LX were 05395(neg)

and 36978(pos)(not listed) and just extended the secondary leads.

Hi

Welcome to the forums.

The mobile phone number on the Repros R us website says    0437194060  or try the email address [email protected]

They come with slightly heavier than original cables but you will have to cut them to length and fit the other terminals to the starter and block ends.

Let us know how you go - this question comes up fairly often

Cheers

Bazza
