hi all,i started building this 4 door 4-5yrs ago,atm im saving some coin to get a few things done to her at mcdonaldbros racing in melb, they include getting the rear redone as the dickhead engineer stuffed it up,it has a mcdonald bros 4 link clip, heavy duty 9 inch housing,35 spline axes, double adjustable qa1 coilovers,35/6o floating hubs,a pair of 15/10s on s/t weld wheels on 26/12.5 sportsman pros, the 2spd glide is a 6cyl version built by craig hanely is chipping norton, capable of handling 600hp,got a 2jz suit rebuild goin in it later, once i get some money together she will go to ray at mcdonald bros racing to fabricate engine mounts recess firewall to get donk in enlarged gearbox tunnel and tailshaft tunnel so i can get it low and cromoly cage etc, once finish ,god knows when that will be she will go to john wilson at akz engineering to get regd, enough writing i will get some pics up,cheers peoples

nah its not really good work jase, the dickhead engineer used the incorrect proceedure in the fitment of the 4link clip and tubs,im getting it all redone again ,there is gaps everywhere and have been filled with offcuts,he cut out original tubs ,rolled me tyres under and got some tubs made to 30 inch, sat the tubs in and then put the 4link frame in next, the 4link frame was a bit long at the rear to fit,so he moved the frame forward to fit.instead of just shortening it (dickhead,)u see the 4link clip have a set measurement of 66cm from the front of the clip to the centreline of the housing, when he rolled the housing under the 4link arms were about an inch short because he moved the clip (chassis frame)foward.ive got pics here somewhere, the frame goes in first ,then the tubs,im spewing lol, look under frank zagari on the web he has pics ,hes got an lj 2dr with a 4link clip setup that i will get the same, mcdonald bros have too on doin the tubs,i think its under tubs, hope this helps ya jase, are you just putting tubs in your car or the works

you are not wrong near 15gs gone,if i knew he was gonna do a poor job,i would have done it meself, the thing is that i dont have an engineer certif,to do such mods, even if ya do a good job they wont pass it,which is bullshit really, the hj ute would be pretty straight foward to do ,the tray is nice and flat, easy to mark out and cut.mcdonaldbros i think did a one tonner a while back they actually cut the rear rails off at a certain point  and swapped them over ,left went on right side vice versa so they could put a huge set of rubber under the arse,28/10.5 tyres should fit under the ute quite nicely, gunna check out your joy
