I think they are the same design, just that the angle of the shot makes them look a bit different.

Low res pics are never the greatest for fine detail.

Cheers

I’ be wondering too, maz
Online catalogues can be confusing.
We71 doesn’t appear on weld’s official site
maybe it is their part number, we for weld
At least the 71 is the same.
It does have s71 on there as well
They do seem like the ones you want.
Nice choice too, they look like modern mawers
Very sharp
Maybe shoot weld an email to put your mind at ease

Yeah..I think maybe the reason why is because his are 17s in pic below and just mabe the pic is of a 17" as the spoke looks a little longer.it just looks like there is less rim thickness compared to my rim.Attached File  Screenshot_20220625-133338.jpg   280.42K   5 downloadsAttached File  Screenshot_20220625-133247.jpg   363.73K   4 downloadsAttached File  Screenshot_20220625-133405.jpg   229.79K   4 downloads

I did think maybe the gtr had these on front which has a thiiner rim ..these ate weld venturas.its kind of the look i want..but again i think the 17s must b different than the 15' idk..Attached File  Screenshot_20220625-034856.jpg   383.9K   3 downloads

I’m struggling to tell them apart, but venturas are listed as s104
Must be different somehow
I reckon yours look shithot, whatever they are
For over 2 grand invested, weld should be more than happy
to answer any questions for you
Pester them to death until you’re satisfied those are what you
will be happy with, you’re the one who has to live with them
Me? I’d stick those straight on I reckon they’re tiptop

I totally get it, mate
That’s a fair chunk of coins for 1 set of wheels.
I’d want to be 100% sure too.

Not at all, just had a look over your early reports and all the shit you went through
without throwing it all in
It’s a hell of a job you’ve taken on here, I admire anyone who gets as far as you have.
And a little bit of ocd goes a long way towards getting a top shelf result - hah!
It’s going to be a killer
I’ve got a 1/2 finished 15 year old project sitting here waiting for me to
make it a priority again

You got a diary going on her Bruce.

Ive come close to giving up a few times.i use to spit the dummy and get all worked up..now i just walk way, shut the door and come back all fresh 😃 now i have the coin.it going to be finished with the clip or without it.i sort of got stuck there so i will go round it get everything else done and leave the rear to last.if all else fails i will just put the original floor and rails in and problems solved 🙂

It looks like they sent you the right wheels, it's just that in your order they have shown a thumbnail photo which is obviously a generic one, in 17" diameter with loads of dish, where you were clearly ordering a 15" with bugger all width.

They are all "S71"s but like any other wheel, they manipulate the shape as they bring out big and small diameter ones. Look at those new 17" Hotwires for example, they look totally different to a 15" Hotwires because they stretch out the spokes and don't stretch out the step lip or hub pad area.

It sounds like you wanted the look of the 17" version, although I cannot tell why. The 15" version you have received looks considerably better, lol.

Hi heath ,yeah i thought that.they made me think there was 2 different wheels..one just s71 and the other rts s71 .i actually told them they have the wrong pic and are now going to change it.i like the 17" version but never purchased as i couldnt find the 165/50 in 23.5 diameter then started thinking the front will stick up abit because the rear is pretty low.i was put off by the 15s when i seen them shod with a high profile tire and didnt go on that look and how thick the rim looks.but i do like them..they are growing on me by the day..def going to run a low profile tire on them.

Does the 2013 picture of your car in post #2 show one of those wheels on the rear?

Looks like gonzo is a little busy to prime the kframe so i better get into it before it starts oxidising..but first i have gone over the kframe deburring sharp edges with the dremmel grinding wheel and chisel, getting rid of most of the factory weld spatter.i was suprised to see rust under it.shes tshirt weather here right now a balmy 10 deg so i will have to help out the epoxy by warming up the frame with the hair dryer and epoxy before i start..just got to go over it in places.and blowing the garnet out of the nooks and crannies.wont b doing it today but by tomorrow arvo it should b done.. Good work Maz, just knocked the dags off mine the other day.  I find the dremel next to useless, I'll be getting the grinder out.

As above, don't stuff about with a dremel mate. Run over it with the chisel and hammer to get the loose stuff, and then get out the proper equipment.

5" angle grinder (you can use smaller, but no real need). You want to get a reinforced grinding wheel for the heavy shit, a hard sanding pad attachment with a range of grits (these are the main thing you use on flat surfaces in particular!), and some flap discs (but if you're not experienced, I would probably avoid these particularly on flat surfaces, they leave a really bad signature in the surface if you aren't paying attention).

Got the steering column back yesterday.shes came up alright.

Pete does a good thorough job of rebuilding them at an affordable price too....highly recommend. Thanks pete.
I just have to purchase the ignition selector thingo what the ignition rod goes into which bolts up in the middle of the steering column.the one i gave him was a commo one.

Can you still get these new..
