Hi guys,

It's official - Steel Bumper Sunday #2 is locked in for Sun 30th March 2014. So for anyone interested - throw this date in your calendar.

Last year was massive with over 300+ cars of all makes and models from the era of steel bumpers.

Once again, it will be held in the rear carpark of the Manhattan Hotel in Ringwood, and all proceeds will go the CFA.

It was another fantastic day today down at the Manhattan Hotel. Much bigger than last year - so much so that we ran out of space and started double parking cars. The entire car park from front to back was jam packed full, what a magic sight!! It peaked really early by about 11:00am, and then slowly wound down throughout the rest of the day.

We officially 'stickered' 427 entrants cars through the gates, missed a few along the way, and didn't count those who rocked up at the tail end, so we estimate total numbers around 450+. Our crew were absolutely stoked with this response, and we must say a huge thanks to everyone who rocked up with a car to join in on the fun & put on such a good show for everyone to enjoy, not forgetting of course all the traders, sponsors, and general public.

It really was great to see such a fantastic bunch of people and their families all enjoying a common interest. Once again, a huge variety of cars were coming and going all day long - and this is what I love most about this event is just watching all the sweet rides rumbling through all day long. I must say too the overall quality was amazing this year.

Ok - the end result saw $4,010 raised for the CFA. Double last year which is excellent

A personal thanks to Simon Kingswell (UNEASY Chev Impala) who took the lead again in putting this event together. What a legend!

Thanks again to all who got involved, it's much appreciated. Pics to follow. Keen to see others if anyone took some.

The Transformers were a big hit with the crowd. Bumblebee and Optimus Prime were more than happy to pose for photos with young and old!

Well done to all concerned, way more cars than last year and a great diversity. We arrived about 9:15am at which time cars were pouring in and the car park was pretty much full by the time l left at 11:00. Your going to need a bigger venue next time!

Daz - completely agree mate - the XY's and XW's lend themselves beautifully to that tough modified look. Phil's car (1TUFXW) is one of the best looking examples I've ever seen. Everything about the build is spot on. Blowers look just right on them for sure

 

V-SLR5000-P - thanks for the feedback! We are certainly pushing the limits of this venue! Not sure yet if we'll change or not, it works so well.
