I'm fortunate to own a special order SS in 'Ilford yellow' which was a paper company in NSW.
I have the paper work from the dealer and original owner. Painted in the factory as a Representatives Special Vehicle Order.
They had their own Holden internal code 1D02F Holden Fleet Colour, Compliance plate 568-00279 and Trim 2299.
They usually bought Kingswoods and larger Holden Commercial vehicles.
The only torana painted in this colour, 1 of 1.
Heres a couple of pic's.
1988 on its way for its first rebuild.
2012 back to original colour.

Yes, you're right. They specialised in photographic paper and other paper/stationery.
My car is not Jasmine (nice colour by the way), its in between Jasmine and Abysinth yellow.

Yep, they have the 1969 US quarter panels which is why they have the side reflectors on them only used on that year over here. Aside from the dash and plenum they also use the smaller trans tunnel as well I was told. (front area at least) They had a larger tunnel here to allow room for the 727 where as that trans was never used behind anything in the coupes originally.I guess Waltons was in NSW only. I remember going shopping there with my mother; I think there was one at Burwood in Sydney.
You're pretty close with the Val hardtops. They were effectively the Dart body. They came in as CKD kits, and had the VF/VG plenum and rails grafted onto them during manufacture. The Dart front (looks pretty much like the VE Valiant) was shorter, and wont swap onto the VF/VG without cutting the chassis rails.
They didn't use a '69 style US petrol tank though, they were a '67 style from memory...different strap style to hold it in..
And cool on the yellow paper company hatch, really nice looking !

Thanks Jeff. Hard to beat the feeling of driving a V8 hatchback, I'm sure you know what I mean.

Hey Mick
Any chance of getting a picture of the body options tag? I have collected them for all the colours over many years and yours is one I will never get another chance to source :-) Understand if you don't want to though..
Cheers, Gerry

Hi Gerry,
If you click on this link, you will find a couple of pictures of the plates.
Regards, Mick.
P.S. If you look closely you will see they put the plates on the wrong side after painting it gun metal grey in 1988. All corrected now.

One of the more unique Monaros was that of Norm Beechey.
His HT GTS 350 was painted Shell Yellow at the factory, because Shell (petroleum) was his major sponsor.

The tag on Norm's VG E34 Pacer had Shell Yellow stamped on it as the colour code. A friend of mine owns the car currently.

Bob Jane used to get cars in Sebring too (probably to match the Hugger orange of the Camaro), his HQ 350 powered Premier wagon, XU-1's and L34 were done that way.

There were many corporate colours.
Brambles Red, which is also the NSWRFS colour.
Cleary Brothers had their yellow.
McGrath Holden had a special colour for their utes.
SA Police had their powder blue.
Army had 2 greens. Matt and gloss.
They are just a few off the top of my head
