Years ago I fitted  NARVA H4 Headlight's to the LX ,I wasn't particularly happy  at all with the way I had to fit them( and shouldn't have done!).

They have the Parker lights at the Bottom of them and to fit them in the car I had to cut out a bit of steel from the lower section of the Headlight mounting area or else the Parker lights would not fit. Now one of the Parker Light Sockets its busted,(one of the brass connector prongs fell off) and I cant locate another Socket the Same!??

The other H4 ones on Ebay etc are those Crystal type, do these run a Parker light in them?? because it looks like they don't?, just trying to weigh up my options here on what to do, I'd rather just piss my current ones off for something that fits better..

Ive got a set of Crystals but the parabolic lense type like HID. They have a park light supplied and mounted in the housing.

The problem with the NARVA ones I (Stupidly) fitted have the parkers mounted really low so they foul on the Radiator Support panel area.

Once I realised this I tried to return them to RARE PARTS over here in W.A but they wouldn't take them back because they weren't faulty as such but would not fit the LX Correctly so I was stuck with them and I modified the steel so they would fit..

ROCKOZ =Did the Crystal ones you have fit directly in, no probs?, how much and where from?

I think this is the globe holder used for the part lights in the Narva H4 conversion.

You can also get Hella ones with the park light in them too...that is what I used on mine. Summit even sold them from memory... (I got them from another Hella dealer over here, believe they were a fraction cheaper, but don't recall the website off hand.)

The Hella H4 conversion fit without cutting the radiator support panel as the park light is mounted higher. Seeing you already have Narva lights I would either replace the globe holder or disconnect the park lights.

Bought off evilbay but never got around to fitting them.

Bought the projector type because I was going to go HID.

They were cheap enough and the rear looks similar to the Hella above.

For great light I would go HID rather than H4.

More light with less power consumption and heat.

The Britax Polycarbonate lenses are probably the best on the market IMO.

I have two sets, both very happy with, the H4 globes that come with them are of good quality, im now using a HID conversion.

well worth looking at. got mine from inland truck centre.

Can also get from TJM, however they wan $99 each I got both for that price.

HI
looking for the Hella H4 here in Australia and find that after 40 years are not available from HELLA.
Can anyone help as to where I may find a pair these days. Trying to keep the original look of the SS.
Cheers

What part# were you chasing?

The Hella 1058 is still in the Hella catalogue and listed on eBay and car shops.

Ive just looked at those again in that link and the ones Jeff has... that Odd U Shaped Bracket on the back of them along with where the parker sticks out will foul on the Headlight Bucket inserts?( the bowls that mount directly  to the back of the light).

The units that Jeff had in the USA will be left-hand-drive which will be different & not legal in Australia.
