Yep, big crash in 86 when a guys throttle got stuck on.

Can't remember his name at the moment, I think Mike something?

He didn't stand a chance unfortunately.

He didn't stand a chance unfortunately.

They put Caltex Chase in after Mike Burgmann was killed on Conrod Straight in 1986 in a VK Group A

And there have been others with career ending injuries since the introduction of the chase. "The Rat"....................forget his real name? for one.
