LEGAL RACE/STREET SEAT INDEX

 

 

Hi All, is now Time for a Seat thread,

some will like to keep there seats as they were Standard.

Was looking around for Light Weight ADR Street Legal Seats for Stinga's Car, or for our Torana's,

and found these links to Similar Threads here on the GMH-TORANA site:-

So what Seats are you using, as Neil has his eye's on these for the Dat:-

 

 - $449 and no weight yet

Lighter seats = More economy and power to weight ratio.

Recaro's have been around for Donkey's years and there are more Brands on the market now,

so what we are looking for, is easy to fit and cheaper for our pocket, light weight ADR approved Seats for our Car's. 

 

When putting your Seats up here,

can you put the Weight and Cost of the Seat/s too, if you can, so I can put them into Order.

 

Also, we need the Weight's of all the standard Torana Seats for comparison's too.

 

All suggestions to make the file better are welcomed. Dave I

 

Too get this thread started:-

I know these are not Drivers Seats, but here is the LC SL 4 Door Rear Standard Seats:-

the Back weigh's - 7.6 kg's

and the Base weigh's - 7.1 kg's

 

will round up or down to the nearest Kilo for the Index.

also the - will link the post of the entry, and the link at the end of the Seat type, will be the picture once the Thread is going.

So now we have a weight to better if needed and will start with up to 30 kg's unless some heavier ones come along:-

Hi,
Replaced the drivers seat in the LJ with this.
I didn't weight it, but can say that it weighed less than the original LJ seat...like much MUCH less.
However, I tried to find it's weight on the Sparco website.....what a mess....gave up.

Good seat for the track, not so nice on road.

Like all this stuff..it really comes down to your budget..think the seat was appx $450 and the required brackets were appx $80.pr.
Makes an immense difference on the track, compared to the slippery slidey standard one.

is yours a Sparco Sprint V, because that one is 8.3kg.

It also seems the different Sparco models are between 8 and 9 kg's. Dave I

Yes it is close enough, and that is a Huge difference in weight savings Col, you saved almost 16 kgs

OK, got some Race Seat's off of Craig today,

 

and I recon they will pass Rego, but don't know the Brand Name,

 

Flip forward, backwards and slide adjustment frame for underneath,

 

Weight = 13.8 kgs each, without sliding frames:-

Craig ( Potta ) pointed out, the frame in the Saas seats, and I tell you all, I felt a proper tube Frame in there too.
