Can anybody tell me if you can modify 4 door seats to suit 2 door LC? Sounds suss but being in tassie hard to find 2 door seats.

The only difference is the 2 door front seats fold forward. Dave I
So you will need to make the pivot mechanism
I would like to see this Modification too

Cheers Dave I for your reply. There is some one with a purple LJ that has done this mod in Tassie. I'm pretty keen to have a look and actually do a thread on Modifying these seats, for everyone to see. I have my eye on a set of 4 door seats fairly cheap too.

I welded up a broken Drivers seat before, so doing the hinges would be a cinch, except for the lever stuff.

I have done it but I cheated a bit. first you can cut the inner bracket down/back so it pivots on the back bolt but you need to fabricate/modify (I took one off a stuffed 2 dr seat) outer as is is longer and shaped to clear the seat base as it folds forward
the lever/locking mechanism bit more work, I thought there was some one selling repros
