Yeah gotta tighten it up Col.
With the instrument panel compartment door open, position lock cylinder in locked position (key head vertical)
With key removed and using the end of a paper clip insert through slot in top rear end of lock cylinder housing, depress aluminium coloured retainer in rear end of lock cylinder, then withdraw cylinder.
Using instrument panel compartment door lock escutcheon wrench No E986 (find yourself a suitable size allen key) , tighten the escutcheon.
Make sure the cylinder housing is in the correct position as you tighten the escutcheon.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
Info extracted from LJ supplementary shop manual.
Cheers
Dave.

Has Dave ever asked us for help or does he know everything?
Thanks Dave
What's there to know Marty? The glovebox lock info is from the LJ shop manual, just a matter of looking it up.
I have asked a question or two on the forum, but yeah after 40 years of working on Holdens I spose I've learned a couple of things. Learn something new everyday actually.
Cheers
Dave.
