Yeah i had plans to run the SLR5K at racewars at some stage..... i don`t know if the old torry could pull off anything decent, getting the power down in a rwd is hard ! .... having thoughts of a AWD hybrid LH torana ! Would do it in a second if i thought there was a AWD box that could take the torque of a TTChev V8, maybe something a large cheque book could solve !! I know there is a guy that is doing a LH AWD skyline hybrid with an RB.....mine would have to be a V8 however !

Took some seriously sorted suspension and brakes to run the K at top 5 speeds on the Whylie air strip... or more to the point to handle the power required ! Who would have thought racing in a straight line could be that hard !!

Yeah, wheel spin off the start in the Videos of the AWD's, so the start is very important to reduce that hey. Dave I

Wtf is wrong with some cops?

I was watching one of those Aussie cop shows tonight and one cop decided that stopping a guy with a blow off valve was more important than safe driving.

Went through a red light and almost had a head on to give someone a canary ffs!

Had a good weeked, sunstroke, 4hrs sleep in 3days, yellow decal, snapped crank, rally cross through a farmers fence.... had a blast !

This year i managed 5th outright, fastest E/T 19.4, 2nd fastest AWD, fastest 4cyl against 1400hp GTR, 1000+hp drag car supras etc..... but lunched a motor, snapped crank on 685hpatw Methanol tune.

Ran 281 Kmph touching limiter in 2 gears and missing 5th gear big time, could have gone 290+ i think with a clean run ! Needs a dog sequential box to do that easy !

frOcking Midland TEG pigs were stopping cars with racewars stickers on the way into whylie and handing out stickers for any reason... 2 homo looking cowboys!

Winning run, well done Ant and Steve ;

Well done a great effort. Obviously Scali had a good handle on set-up for the track as his superior time clearly indicating he was getting good bite from the car. Do you know what tyres was he running?

The AWD to me gives such a big advantage to RWD on that track, but still cludos to 2nd, 3rd and 4th outright who where RWD. It's certainly not just throwing HP at it to get top speed. I look at the mega powered cars that obviously can't get their power down and yet they still come back thinking more is better.

Yeah AWD is certainly a advantage.... however a seriously sorted RWD car can and has won a 1km top speed sprint. A supra ran 312 iirc at snowy mountains 1000. The supra that placed 2nd here was a full out drag car that basically could not go full power until ~300m because of a big bump in the track that sent in into the dirt right on one run.

Was expecting the Yellow TT V8 with 1250hp to run a good number.... Eddy must be devo getting smoked by rice !

Sonic should have geared and tried for the Km... guess its up to my LH now LOL! Going to need some serious rakes on the old girl!

Be interesting to look at the runs as Vbox data. I would be plugging in the Vbox and one of the CAN's to the front/rear wheel sensors to look at what is the best gearing and tyre/pressure choice. If you can get a few test runs in ... you can then set about modifying the curve for traction and launch control to suit the track. Its obvious power is just being wasted and you can see that in the AWD ET's vs RWD ET's. The 17.7sec and 306 shows you who is getting their Hp to the ground.
