The old saying, never buy a Holden ending in the letter "a". (Except torana of course)

Bit sad all the same for someone whos looked after a car so well. If it was a 2 door Torana in same condition everyone would be climbing over one another to get it.
Original owner should have just driven it into the ground like all the others.

Some of them you wouldn't want either (like 4cyl Toranas)!
Agree though:
Frontera
Camira
Viva
Barina
Astra
Balibra
Epica
Piazza
Nova
Vectra
Zafira
Captiva

Were They Really That Bad ??? I remember all too well doing pre delivery inspections & driving tests on brand spanking new Camira & VB Commy, There was many new camira's that were rejected & returned to manufacturer for safety issues before leaving the dealership, 1 was just delivered off the truck, next thing there's an all mighty bang with motor / gearbox lying on the road due to zero engine mounting bolts holding the sauna with 2 fat guys aboard...

Were they really that bad? I doubt they were any more unreliable then any other overhead cam engined car of the era and if looked after were probably a good car. If there was a mint one at a car show I would walk past a row of 65 model Mustangs to check it out before them, cheers Aaron
Do bears sh1t in the woods?

Alfa Romeo GTV's were quick too. So were V12 Jaguars. Doesn't mean they were quality cars! Quality doesn't break down and fall apart on you.

Nova's were fine. Just a rebadged corolla. The others on the list are real turkeys though.

I drove a Gemini across Australia,
and on the way back, it blew a piston through the block,
I looked into the rear view mirror at 110kph, and seen an atom bomb of grey smoke, before coming to a bang bang halt. Dave I
