I already added dividers in each runner which actually to my surprise made it react worse....

"Tuned length" runners can add torque if their length is matched to the valve timing and rpm range of the engine, but their rpm range is limited and when they're out of this range they'll actively reduce torque. So what I'm saying is it isn't enough to have equal length runners, they have to be the right length. The fact that the runner configuration is less than ideal (no taper, no entry bell, no corner fillets, sharp change of direction) may mean that the flow loss with the dividers may eat up much of the gain from a tuned length anyway.

Yeah Im hearing what your saying, to be honest I was just trying to get some air speed happening. The new mod "should" help with that lol. Cheers

Well I think its close enough lol. Its been hacked up, slightly smaller plenum volume and removed the runner dividers and carb divider although I did add a piece of angle welded to the floor as a difuser. Feels pretty good now. Surge and rich spot is all but gone, with fairly good distribution ( for a 4bbl anyway ). The plugs are a little dark because of the secondary float floods so I'll have to stiffin the float spring a little more.  Cheers

You don't muck around do you?

Any plans to compare it to another manifold - see if you're getting a power increase over the aftermarket options? Would be interesting to see.

Have a look at Clifford 6 cylinders in the US. They have some radical manifolds for the chevy 6's. I think i can remember one with 2 2 bbl holleys. I don't know how to put those bloody web sights up.

Regards

Thanks, I'll try that out next time. Just in case, option 2 EFI mainfold is for sale on Ebay, $500.

Just wondering some thoughts on an efi manifold setup. Looking at running a 12 anything in a full weight street UC torana, trimatic and 9 inch. Engine will be a 9 port head ported, 12:1 compression, 260-270@50 solid etc using an lt8 microtech to run it.

Similar to Option 2

This setup looks like it has potential, put an airbox over all 3 TB all and ram cold air in from beside headlight- radiator.

Keep some one busy for a while building an air box for them. the air box is very important for an EFI system.

regards.
