Great, thank's for that SS,

I had seen it some where, but could not think, also now we know the Name ( Service Description ).

So I am on the Hunt for info on the minimum numerical Service Description of the LC Torana.

85 = 515kg load rating

V = 240km/h speed rating

In Victoria speed rating is irrelevant, load rating is enforced.
Done a bit of research and so far no luck with anything mainstream.

I bought some Maxxis 205/60/13.

Seemed like the easiest option, and got them from the tyre shop I've been going to for about 20 years.

Same owner the whole time and he seemed genuinely interested in the car too, plus I know he'll look after me if there are any problems.

The other places I contacted either didn't get back to me or were not very helpful so I stuck with the bloke I trust.

I didn't feel right getting them from eBay and getting him to fit, plus the cost of delivery and fitting would have worked out the same.

As in the post above, Nankang now also have available 235/50/13 tyres from the same retailer AAA Tyre Factory.
This size tyre has not been available since 2003. Stock is available but will go quick in this size.

Toyo make a 205/60r13 which is probably the "best" available. Don't expect track type performance from any of the tyres listed though. Available from Jax, Bob Jane and Tyrepower.

How about some Toyo 205/60/R13 R888 Semi Slicks?

I'm considering them for the next rubber change :)

yeah I thought about something like that but price was a factor and I also don't intend to drive it in a way that would really get any potential from a semi-slick.

The Maxxis tyres will be fine.

How would the 235's go on the 6" sprint masters? Bit wide I'm thinking?

235's need a 7 inch rim.

205's are recommended fitment for 6", could go 215's at a pinch.

Didn't say they wouldn't go on, just not recommended.
Might be insurance issues if anything did go wrong.
Personally I like to stay original
