hi Guys and Gals,

I am having a bit of a dilemma at the moment. i have a door that is pretty heavily dented and isnt worth the repair. i have sourced another door to take the skin off of and place on the original frame as the frame is rusted on the donor but the skin is in better shape then the original. but first i need to put a patch in as there is a rust bubble in the lower section. is it easier or better to do this repair whilst the skin is still on the frame as it will be held in place. or can it be done whilst the skin is off. my worry is warping of the panel.

Cheers Guys and Gals

not sure if this is in the correct section either but it is panel talk.

leave on the the frame.. keep the heat to minumin, dont use anything to cool the panel, take your time.., same as when grinding down the welds.

Look into my threads.. Im sure Ive fixed a few doors in there someware.

Mike
