Hi all

Thought I start a thread, about the history you guy's/gal's have on your cars.

I'll start with my own.

First owner's sale documents.

Second owner's sale documents and every service from 78 to 98 and I think everything you got with the car when brand new.

Third own me. Just what I did to the car very little. Suspension and bushes. Didn't keep hydraulic clutch install.

The one owner grandpa spec LH SL 6 cyl I bought in 02 had every receipt, owners manual, warranty card ,receipt for a $2500 respray in 1988 and nearly every rego paper of it's life. It came with a few boxes of all parts that had been replaced like points, rotor buttons dizzy cap and even a few sets of plugs. It had 135,000 on the clock and the ol guy even gave me a book with the mileage recorded every single time he filled up. It was m20 originally but he had it changed to auto at some point. It had factory air con and a cool looking old school certificate saying it had a short motor fitted under warranty from a Holden dealer in hurstville . I should of kept it original but 2 injected 5 litres and now LS3 later there's not even any original bolts in the thing lol

I don't know much about mine, trying to find out some info from QLD Transport but not getting anywhere.

I know it has spent time in Melbourne, QLD, Busselton and now Perth, and has also been raced at some point and before I got it it was used as a track car.

If anyone recognises it I'd love a PM :-)

Raced in WA or over east Craig?

I have the original books for mine. Sold from Zupps QLD. I have rang everybody I can find with the name of the original purchaser but with no luck. He apparently only put a few thousand kays on it until 1985 when the second owner bought it. I am number three.

I'm more than great full to the last owner.

Just the tip of the iceberg of what I've got about my car.

Hope others out there have stuff they go with there car that they may like to share.

Raced in WA or over east Craig?

Over east as far as I'm aware, Queensland I think.

It was also being used for track days at Collie Motorplex up until about 12-18 months ago.

The literature, books et al are just so great.

I always think they compliment the car's owner and the car itself when on display.

And of course such literature like old advertising brochures are nostalgic.

Great read too.

History on my Pink LJ GTR Torana, First Owner GMH Salmon Street Port Melbourne, April 1972 until 1974

Maybe Tendered out to GMH Dealers or bought by GMH Employee in 1974.

Next piece of History it turns up in Canberra ACT in 1980 as far as I can find out in a Red Colour, maybe was there before 1980, but dealing with Canberra's RTA is a Horror Movie in its self with Archive stuff, as they don't like giving any help unless you deal with there ombudsman in ACT to get them to look under freedom of information and force them, and then the people who made them check, tell me they are protective of there RTA Records, OMG have they not heard of Freedom of Information Act and why we have it.

I bought it in 2012 and just been doing History Checking on it, the last owner I tracked in ACT can not remember the name of the person he bought it from in Belconnen ACT in early 1980's, so if he pops up on here, please help me with history and photos etc.
