Today 40 members of the Torana Motor Sport Club of SA Inc converged on Holdens manufacturing plant at Elizabeth.

About 20 members cars were put on display at the internal grounds for the employees to look at during there lunch brake.

The cars were a good overall representation of Holdens motorsport models. GTR,s XU1,s L34,s A9X,s and SLR, SS,s.

The weather was superb and the tour of the factory fantastic but sad. Sad in the fact that this world class facility building world class cars will finish. Very sad! Took picks of cars with my phone but photos no good- photos will follow.

Yeah, it was a real good day out.

Big thank you to Tony & Holden for the opportunity to tour the plant.

Cheers,

Daryl.

Was wondering if there where any forum cars out there.

Was good to see some Toranas out on the lawn.

Employees are having a photo shoot day mid September. We get to have professional photos of our cars in General Assembly, can't wait.

You should know, you've driven it!

Bring that yellow banana of yours back here so I can drive what some are calling a real man's car!

Yes it was an awesome tour and a real eye opener into how a car gets built and the people and technology involved, never realised so much was involved!. Losing the car industry is a huge mistake!

Here is a few more pictures.

Black hatch looks awesome with the simmons, keep them on! What size are they, 8s and 10s? Although if you want to sell them......

I know, first time I had the privilege of driving an A9X to.
Would be happy to get back to Adelaide with the yellow mean machine and tag along on a early Sunday run in the hills, that would be good.

It was a great run through the hills this morning.

6 am departure is not for everyone but it does have it's benefits. The roads were nice and quiet at this hour.

It was a great day, and the tour guides were terrific blokes. I for one learnt a lot. If anyone ever has a chance to do this, grab it. Thanks to Tony for putting the day together.

And that Wedgewood LJ XU1 in the photo above is nothing short of spectacular :)
