hey guys,
had a mate tell me that cause back before I planned on rebuilding the torana I cut the parcel shelf to fit 6x9s in the back and now it may be an issue when going to engineers.
the wholes for child restraint are still intact but it is butchered a bit. so would like to know what would be the best way about it to please the engineer? do I need to re weld a new sheet in to cover the holes or neaten it up to make it look ok? can take pics to show exactly how it looks.

I went and asked the guy that was doing my roady about the same trouble,he told me to clean up the holes and roll the edges down so it looks factory pretty easy to do really I folded the edge down with a pair of multigrips and then dressed the edge with a piece of 1" bar and a hammer, then painted it black and bingo finish

I would take Hutch's advice and go and see them in regards to the regs on this

Wouldn't sat that was "butchered" - you see some that looks like it has been done with an axe

Do you plan to still run the speakers?

Yeah good idea, I'll do just that so then I can go from there.
haha I guess being a tiler you get very pedantic about every little thing. yeah I'll put speakers back in, prob 6x9 again.
