Can anybody tell me if an original LC XU1 sway bar will still fit on a LC torana with a 308 and a custom sump
Thanks

cant definitely answer your question Geno, but in that old "How to build a XU2"" booklet..its shows the 308  LC ( 4 door) has an aftermarket bar on it.

The type that clampsonto the control arm with the bushes etc .

Doesn't mean a factory one doesn't fit.

And I guess a 4 door would have been unlikely to have the 82911 bar anyway....

Hi Gene,

I see the XU1 sway-bars are straight,

with scalloped ends.

Where as the 33 year old aftermarket one I have,

has an off-set at the passenger side,

which dips down another 1/2" from halfway across.

You could modify the Bar and clamps to suit in any case.

mine doesn't have the scallops at the ends, just round bar.

Edit:-

This XU1 sway-bar looks like she will clear an extra 50mm lower than mine hey
http://www.gmh-toran...ics/#entry66036

I havnt got one

Question:-

I wonder what the difference is between all the XU1 Sway-bars? ( LC/LJ )
