Hi , Im going to fit Chrome trim around the windows on my LH ( from a UC) along with a LH mirror and some black out

I have 2 questions

1 Are the plastic clips that hold the trim on the same as the sill ones

2 Does anyone have a picture of the location of the clips

 Thanks

IHahahaha! I can help if you want to fit the LH trims, but the LX trims are another kettle of fish.

LH trims fit to the inside of the window frame. LX/UC fit on the outer part of the window/door frame. Totally different setup.

Thanks
I have a LH, however it's a std S and family plain looking, so I'm fitting LX, UC trim to windows and painting black as well as black under the sills

I'm not worry about concourse.
I have found marking on the trim, this will give me location and the shape pod the clips is the same as the sills ones, so off to eBay and buy heaps as each side takes 21

Thanks, I already have the moulds I got them of a UC and they size up good, just a slight mod where the LH mirror sits, but the piece I cut will give me the 2 little bits needed for the B pillar
I have found clips on flee bay, I will need 42 for the windows and I need some for the sills
Thanks

Well here is the finished job, I got all the clips from rare spare in packs of 20 the job used 44 clips
The trim is from a UC, I cut and remoulded the trim to fit a left mirror so I have a piece to fit the B pillar, just not sure how this would attach as the total width is less than a plastic clip.
Thanks for the replies and advise

Hey, I know this is an old thread I'm just trying to get my head around this before I start drilling holes. I got the screw type instead of the rivet type. If I used the screw type at the tops of the doors I would then see the tip of the screw sticking through on the inner of the door???

The 'clips' that go at the door openings are different to the rest.

They locate in a hole & screwed on from the inside of the door .

RS sell them.

LH doors don't have the hole for these.

The rest of the clips do NOT have to be in the factory position . Usually the trim piece is bent in places so moving the new clip either side of the factory position will hold the trim inplace better . .

Edit: NONE of the trims are chrome. LH are stainless , LH/UC are annodised aluminium.

ah I see...I think I'm going to use 3M tape and not drill any holes in her. Yeh I'm going to get the trim repaired and re-finished...the aluminium seems tricky. Thanks for the reply Col.

Hi, I have a question. Does anyone sell the short trim piece that is missing in pic 2 of Muzzy car. How did you cover that area?
