The grand opening of drag racing season is this Saturday and then Sunday is Nostalgia drags at the motorplex.

I rate it as one of the best events of the year for like minded enthusiasts ,doesn't matter if you run 14s all day with dyo format your a chance to win.

No rice burners or cammed up ve SS s just old school muscle from all over.

$70 to race ,weather forecast looks good ,can't wait to get on the track after running a 12.0@ last year I badly want a 11 second pass .

Anyone else up for it ?

I've been told that nostalgia drags have been cancelled and moved until next year.

Apparently an email went out yesterday from the motorplex advising

Your right Jason I just checked the motorplex website.

What an absolute crock of shit - new equipment and logistics prevent this event from taking place ????

The big boys are racing all day Saturday !!!

But on Sunday the equipment and logistics will not be ready

Not happy Jan !

Ironic maybe that is why it has been such a great event over the years,no long waits heaps of runs.

They haven't exactly done a lot of advertising - there new look website had zero info apart from the date and option to buy tickets online.i am sure if more people knew about it they would get more $$$$
