Hi guys, A mate of mine has an LS1 sitting in his shed in pieces. The motor has spun a main bearing. My question is can it be fixed successfully with a line bore and crank grind as I can pic it up for a carton of beer. Have heard of other motors that have spun bearings doing the same thing not long after a rebuild.

Greatly depends on the extent of the damage. If the correct machining and assembly practices are adhered to and all clearances are within given tolerances, I cant see why the fault would reoccur.
