It's finally happening! Bloody exciting stuff!

I've only just come across and it appears no one else has posted about it, so here goes...

What a  Beautiful Engineering Master Piece El Clarko,

I wonder how they will get around the Holden Copyright,

as I once asked Holden for the use of a brand name,

and was emailed back saying, that Holden was not interested in a 3rd party.

In saying all this, when Holden closes shop in 2017 ( we'll see ),

then the rules could change.

It's finally happening! Bloody exciting stuff!

p.s. I guess, you only need to change one thing in a design, and then it is not copyright,

but this block will have all the other Holden little goodies in there.

p.p.s. I suppose the Jzed Head is a working example of a design that has some Holden measurements.

Yes.

That is the first unit.

It shrank substantially when it cooled, so is effectively a doorstop.

Improved unit will feature wider sump rails and taller deck heights.

Or so I am reliably informed.

Surely it will have 4 or 6 bolt mains and room for a 3.750" stroke crank and maybe 3.800" VN V6 pistons? Using the 221 Ford crank, that could be ground to 3.68" stroke, so there might be room. The stock bore spacing is just over 4.09" so let's see what can be crammed in.

The Best of everything tested in these Engines for an upgrade hey Vick, and welcome back.

so let's see what can be crammed in.

Drag Engines can do a lot of Rebuilds/ Drag Racing before ruined.

Dave I think I last posted back in January. I had a gutfull of the keyboard warriors, I don't need them. I don't mind those who upload text for the sakes of dribbling. It's the morons who deliberately try to start WW3 that I don't have time for.

I should've looked at his face plant page. A 3.800" bore and 3.700" + stroke is on the cards, as well as a Jesel cam drive. His alloy sump looks nice.

Great Points brought up there Vick,

Also 4" pots are not possible, as you pointed out the Bore spacing's don't allow for them.

The worst part about this is even if a reliable 500 HP ( as they hope on face palm ) can be made, it would be far cheaper to get 550 HP from an LS series engine.

Definatley cheaper to go with the LS but yr not getting it Vick , we play with holden 6's not cause theyre the best it's cause we like them and the challenge of getting power out of something not designed to make power.

Interesting point.

Once you no longer run anything in the engine which is holden then what's the point of keeping it? It's no longer a holden 6 so you may as well just put the cheapest/fastest combo you can find in. Same end result really.

I suppose you could paint it up red and make it look old and slow...each to his own
