ok ill start at the start.

i have the upc brake kit all seems ok there no issues fitting etc.

from day 1 i had issues with a spongy pedal that was i think caused by the next thing.

I had a bent stub axle that sat my caliper on a angle causing the it to rub on the inside front of the caliper,

making the caliper twist when braking,

the stub axle was replaced, disc machined and new bendix pads fitted.

now i have a squeak in the front when driving, squeak squeak squeak squeak,

if i apply the brakes the squeak stops.?

it sounds like its coming from both sides .

also for anyone that is running brake upgrades from upc of hoppers, how touchy are your brakes?

mine still seem a little weak to me and not a very firm pedal?

any help or thought would be great.

Cheers Jaason

Are you still running the orig master cylinder? I presume you have bled the brakes enough to be air free?

I have bled them multiple times. Doesnt seem to be any air.
I think it's a 1" master same as vnss commodores have. And booster has had the rod shortend like explaind in other threads here.

I still have the original big booster and master (15/16ths I think). I went from the big bore alloy LX calipers to the AU XR caliper UPC setup and the pedal felt much the same before and after. Slightly soft on initial push but work fine as you press a bit more. I was led to believe this is expected and if not liked then the cure was to go to a bigger MC or a fancy late model rapid fill staged MC.

I can except my pedal working like it is. Its more the squeaky brakes driving along that is very very annoying. Is it possable it will disappear once the pads are fully bedded in?

Dunno. Do you still have the old pads? Pop them in and see if the squeak goes away?

Do have them but 1 side was warn on a angle I guess I could try that as a test. Just thought it odd that good bendix pads would squeak?
