I want to know if their are serial numbers etc on my Triple SU's 3/4 to compare to when buying a rebuild kit. I actually found a UK website and they only have serial numbers for the kits but when clicking into the link it would have for example HS6 Rebuild kit with Product code as CRK223. Could I see any of these numbers on my SU's? (I have my SU's stored away and wanted to know info before I start anything)

I'm actually after some linkage parts as well, but would like to see if I could source cheaper parts on the UK sites to the Aussie sites.

Also what sites are people looking at to buy SU's parts from?

BTW I'll be looking extensively at my SU's on the weekend to see what exactly I need.

How do I know what my SU's are? How can I find out? That's what I'm asking.

Why do you say HS6? Is that what 1 3/4 is?

I do own 1 3/4 SU's.

The number beside the S is the amount of 1/8 of an inch bigger than 1 inch in the bore.

Read this, heaps of info.

HSU 6 = 1inch and 3/4.

Just pulled mine apart and there is only the following;

1) gasket - top bell

3) fuel bowl gasket

4) washer under the fuel inlet valve - should not need to replace

And thats it.

I put no new parts in mine just cleaned and reset back to a standard all three settings.

A06 is a standard " fuely" needle.

hope this healps.

Ok so I might not need new parts like linkages for this as I first thought. The housing of each SU does have a slight film of oil so I might just replace the gaskets only.

So I have added 2 photos and I already know that it is a 1 Inch and 3/4 so from the info, this would be HS6

Thanks for your replies with the helpful info and links.

You do need to inspect the throttle shaft and bushes for wear. A new needle and seat is a good idea also. The kit should include a new jet, I imagine it's a 90thou jet, float bowel gasket, throat and mount gasket and also a new needle and seat.

I always use SU Midel for parts. Keep Aussies in a job.
