Hey Guys,

My car is almost ready for paint.

Its going to have the SLR 5000 theme. Its a 77 model LX sedan.

I just need some pictures to where the black outs are on the inside of doors and pillars.

Cheers

I'm going to see my car tomorrow, I'll put some up. 1977 SL/R 5000. It's still got the factory paint. Here where & how the trim on the doors goes.

Thanks for that victor.......can anybody post a pic of the sill blackout with the doors open....especially the rear wheel arch.....I would like to see the paint line behind the rear doors and how far up the arch it goes and how far in the door aperture it is.

Also if possible a shot of how far under the front headlight bezel the blackout goes......under the flat metal strip that sits under the bumper on each corner....just under the headlight.

Thanks

Surely someone has a painted car....this paint question gets asked a lot on here but very little info arises when asked....but questions like why is paint soooooooo expensive gets massive response.....don't understand.....there is no sticky on blackouts for slr and there should be on a forum like this....it's important info about our cars.....we can talk paint prices all day but it doesn't help with the finer details of our cars restoration....Which is sadly lacking.

Here's some more pic.
Will get more up soon.

The black at the top of the doors goes round to the inside of the door the SL/R 5000 at the bottom of the door is just on the out side.
Yes I know not the best pictures.
